🧠 Solving Rubik's Cube made easy: The best methods at a glance
Discover the fascinating world of speedcubing – and find the method that suits you perfectly!
🔍 Why solve a Rubik's Cube at all?
The Rubik's Cube is more than just a colorful toy—it's a symbol of logical thinking, concentration, and perseverance. Whether as a relaxing hobby or a competitive sport, cubing inspires millions around the world.
But getting started can seem tricky. That's why I'll show you the most popular methods you can use to reliably solve your cube – step by step!
1️⃣ The beginner method (Layer-by-Layer / LBL)
🔑 Perfect for beginners
The LBL (layer-by-layer) method is the classic starting point. It consists of three main phases:
- Create white cross
 - Complete first two layers (F2L)
 - Orient and permute last layer (OLL & PLL light)

🧩 Advantages:
- Easy to understand
 - Low algorithm requirement (approx. 6–8 basic algorithms)
 - Ideal for children & beginners

🔗 Tip: In my shop you will find suitable 3x3 beginner models with smooth turning behavior – ideal for practicing!
2️⃣ CFOP – The Speedcuber Method
⚡ For advanced and competitive athletes
The CFOP method (Cross – F2L – OLL – PLL) is the gold standard in speedcubing. World record holders use it to solve the cube in under 5 seconds!
- F2L (First Two Layers): Solve two layers at once
 - OLL (Orientation of the Last Layer): Align to the top
 - PLL (Permutation of the Last Layer): Swap positions

📚 Learning effort: Up to 78 algorithms – but it’s worth it!
🔥 Tip: I offer magnetized speedcubes with core magnets and MagLev technology for maximum stability and performance!
3️⃣ Roux method
💡 Intuitive and space-saving
The Roux method works in blocks, not layers—a completely different approach! It's especially popular with creative cubers and minimalists.
- Build first block (1x2x3)
 - Add second block
 - Orient corners and edges

🎯 Advantages:
- Fewer movements required (Low Move Count)
 - Easily doable with few algorithms
 - Innovative thinking is encouraged

💬 Did you know? Many Roux fans swear by compact 55mm cubes for more control—of course, you can also find them in my shop.
4️⃣ ZZ method
🔬 The technician method
The ZZ method relies on pre-orientation of the edges and combines the advantages of CFOP and Roux. A true highlight for analytical minds!
🧠 Complex introduction, but efficient solution.
🚀 Advanced athletes use them to optimize their average times in competitions.
5️⃣ One-Handed & Blindsolving Methods
🖐️ For professionals & show acts
If you want to solve the cube with one hand or even blindfolded, you need special techniques:
-
One-Handed (OH): Modified finger tricks and cubes with light torque
 -
Blindfolded (BLD): Memo techniques + M2/Old Pochmann method

💡 Important: This depends a lot on your cube – I’m happy to advise you!
